Year end blow out.

Oh, I suppose I should update this site once in a while. Please accept my seasonal apologies. After a few weeks of unintentional hiatus, the available domain name of the week is odorate.com

Casading style pods.

Well float me left in a wrapper div. How handy would a complete, browsable style sheet reference on your iPod be? Very. If nothing else, this is a great way for web developers to expense iPods as employee education benefits. But don't stop there... here's how to add your own hyperlinked notes to your third-gen iPod or iPod mini. Via Jeff Croft

Typogöttershirts!

Give it up for Spiekermann, and represent your inner Erik. Flash a bit of Frutiger around Adrian's town. Show Kurt that you care about all things Weidemann. Typogöttershirts, baby!

Ping me up.

DNS Stuff makes light work of most of my geekish network analysis needs, and pretty much does everything that Sam Spade used to do. Before the network glitches, spurious blackholing and other issues beyond their control sort of made the useful bits fall off one by one. Via Bifurcated Rivets

Newtons around the (Wired) world.

Leander Kahney is a most consistent and entertaining purveyor of tales and ephemera culled from the frothing communities of both Mac and Newton users. True to his style, he has just published a Wired News article featuring none other than one of my favorite pet projects, the Newtons Around The World gallery. Fittingly entitled The Picture of Devotion, it is certainly a fine hat tip to that site and the Newton community at large. Although I managed to snarf a personal mention or two, the article is more specifically about gallery regular John Charlton's arguably obsessive compulsion for snapping pictures of his little green friend. Oh, and if you feel so compelled, consider making a small donation to the Newted Community by clicking that cute little PayPal button on its home page. Of course, this is simply to help offset the looming bandwidth overage charges I'm bound to experience because of the mention in the aforementioned article. Of course.

Music to my ears.

Finally. Not that I had been tapping my foot impatiently, just waiting for the privilege of spending more coinage on music or anything. But, finally. As of last night the iTunes Music Store officially became canuckified. And there's none of that goofy exchange rate nonsense to get knotted up about either. Apparently the dollar is on par. 99 cents is 99 cents. To celebrate, I bought this little nugget of mid-80s joy.

Link love removal machine.

That fact that URL Removed exists doesn't surprise me in the least. Why it's showing up in my referrer logs is another question altogether. Here's a screenshot and the background audio file archived for posterity. And on a related note... Replace Me!
