The train finally moves on. I zip around a long queue of cars at the next set of lights and drive by Crown Surplus. This is a prime place for picking up vintage military issue clothing and other khaki colored gear. The last time Cher was in town for a concert, she stopped in at Crown to stock up on supplies. The owner built a small display in the store commemorating the event. Last week, someone drove a truck through the front window, smashed the Cher shrine, yet completely ignored a rack of $400 leather jackets. On a related note, our old office used to be a couple blocks from here.
