Back | Next 18 September 2000 01:04 PM This is the view out my window looking east. I'm at the back of the building so below you're seeing the alley between the buildings. The sandstone structure at the end of the alley is Government House, a restored public school originally built in 1906 which now houses the Calgary representatives of our provincial government. In the early part of 1900's, quite a bit of downtown Calgary consisted of impressive sandstone buildings such as this. Unfortunately, there aren't many left. |
